Happy Monday, Friends! How was your weekend? We had the most wonderful Lessons and Carols service at church yesterday. One of my favorite songs performed was "Canticle of the Turning." Below you'll find a clip of the song from this morning's service at St. Stephen's.
Yesterday afternoon we had a DAR "Munch and Learn." It was a lot of fun, and I did learn quite about about DAR and some of our programs and committees. The next few weeks will be hectic for me as I squeeze in mini surgeries in between Christmas activities and celebrations. Please be patient if I don't have my posts live first thing in the morning!
Here are a few Bible verses from the Book of Psalms to get us started with our lessons this week.
Prayer Requests
- Pray for our military and military families, and the Wisconsin National Guard deployed in Iraq.
- Pray for Kitty's son Mike to get a job that uses his talents.
- Be in prayer for Carla's Florida friends still recovering from two hurricanes.
- Kitty asks that we pray for Molly’s husband, Eric, to find a job. The start up company that he was working for closed Friday.
- Pray for a peaceful and smooth transition of power between now and January 20, 2025.
- Pray that we can all find quiet time with God during the holiday hustle and bustle.
- Please be in prayer for me because I will be having five minor surgeries this afternoon, tomorrow, December 16, 20, and 30. I will be going under the "twilight" anesthesia for each surgery, so hopefully it won't be too bad.
Please let me know if I've left out any requests, and I'll update our list ASAP.
Beautiful clip from your service! Thank you for sharing this and our continued verses from our devotion. I will read this week's pages during some quiet time today. I am all decorated, and have J later today. Looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the video. Thank You for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI am continuing to pray for all the requests.
Lots of Love,
Carla
The video is beautiful to listen to, Ricki Jill. I’m praying for you and all requests and thank you for updating mine. May you be at peace as you have your minor surgeries. God bless.
ReplyDeleteRJ I will keep prayers going for you as you have some minor surgery taken care of soon. Please keep us posted on how you are doing. Such a busy time of year and to squeeze in some health things I am sure is challenging. I hope the girls will be home for Christmas. Have a good rest of the week. Hugs. Kris
