I'm not a fan of Halloween.  This is the costume we should wear everyday, the Full Armor of God!

I've been spending a lot of time this week taking care of houseplants and thinking about Christmas and Poinsettias: Maybe we should't have them this year because of the new puppy in the family.  So today's devo has me focused on Christmas and the Advent season.  I can't wait!

God answered a prayer so quickly on Tuesday that it made my head spin.  He reminded me not to put limits on his power because I thought it would take time, and it took thirty minutes.  I've been giggling about it for about three days....I'm humbled for sure!  ;P  (Just wanted to share.)

Thanking God in all circumstances is difficult, isn't it!  I find it easier to trust during trials than to thank God, and I want to work harder on thankfulness.  Although I posted this verse a couple of weeks ago, it's a gentle reminder to me to give thanks!
In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18  
Please continue to pray for Braxton (six year old neighbor with brain cancer).  University of Alabama football players and our head coach Nick Saban have called him offering encouragement.

Sometimes I need to practice the basics so I can be a better artist.

  • Without faith in God and his promises, it's impossible to please Him.

  • We must worship God in Spirit and in truth.

I constantly see memes, magazine articles, and books about "mindfulness."  I really have no idea what it means, but whenever I see it I immediately think of Jesus for some reason.  I know that's a little off-topic from today's devo, but I want to ask you: How do you remain focused on Jesus throughout the day, especially a busy day?
