Happy Monday, Friends!  I hope you had a nice, relaxing weekend.   It was rainy and cold, but this morning we have gorgeous Alabama blue skies.  :D

This week's focus is on how there's a connection between wellness, faith, and prayer.  I have to be honest:  I felt a bit discouraged because I DO have faith, yet I'm sick.  I don't like discouragement, so in a few minutes I will read and study by devotional.  That will uplift my spirit!

Have a great week, and check back in during the week for prayer requests.

Until next time...

Blessings!

Happy Friday, Friends!  I hope y'all have had a wonderful week and haven't spent too much time worrying about the state of the affairs in the world.  I caught myself worrying this week, and I decided to stop and turn it over to God.

This week's prompt challenges us to write a prayer focusing on an area in our lives where we need to partner with God through prayer.  I'm not writing out the prompt verbatim this morning because my prayer was actually lengthy, and your might be, too.  Anyway, I hope you've been able to write your prayer this week or maybe you can find the time this weekend to do so.

I thought that today we'd share prayer requests.  I have a few.

  • Stamina as I approach my last Adriamycin treatment March 7th
  • Godly leadership for our country
  • Protection for civilians in Ukraine as well as other areas of the region
  • 2 Chronicles 7:14 (look on sidebar)

Now it's your turn!  Please leave your prayer requests in the comments section below.

Have a lovely weekend!

Now off to make coffee!

Until next time...

Blessings!

Happy Monday, Friends!  Did you have a nice weekend?  We did!  The weather was beautiful and sunny.

This week we are encouraged to pray for one another, which makes us a partner in God's workshop.  The guided journaling part is a little personal this week because we are challenged to write out a very specific prayer.

From the journal:

Your prayers prompt the response of God in the lives of those you love.

Do you have any specific prayer requests for you and your family?

Please pray for my stamina.  I would also appreciate it if you would pray for Shelley because she's had a bad case of food poisoning.

Check back during the week and read the prayer requests in comments!

Until next time...

Blessings!
Ricki Jill

looking forward to spring and forsythia

Hello, Sweet Friends!  How has your week been so far?  As I'm writing this (Thursday afternoon), we're anticipating even more sever weather in Central Alabama.  Otherwise, it's been a pretty good week!

Here is this week's guided journaling prompt:

When you pray, do you believe God is listening to you?  Why or why not?

Yes, I am confident that God is listening to me when I pray.  He loves me and wants me to pray to him, and he cares about every aspect of my life.  One of my favorite verses about God hearing our prayers is:

1 John 5:14-15
"And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him."

What are your thoughts?  Prayer requests?

Until next time...

Blessings!

Happy Valentine's Day, Friends!  We'll be focusing on Finding Happiness in Prayer for the next six weeks, and I think the timing is perfect as so many things are being revealed in our nation.

This week we're reminded of Abraham's story, and his boldness to pray to God to save Sodom and Gomorrah as he had family living there.

Let's be bold in our prayers this week!  Do you have any prayer requests?

Until next time...

Blessings!

Happy Friday, Friends!  Do you have any special plans for the weekend?

Do you ever think about what it will be like when we first meet Jesus?  I think about it sometimes, and that's the focus for this week's guided journaling.

Here's this week's prompt:

What would you like Jesus to say to you when he welcomes you into God's kingdom?

I'd be very happy to hear Jesus say the quote from Matthew in the graphic, above.  That would be perfect!  I'd also like to hear him say that he loves me.  What about you?

Prayer requests?  I have my third treatment of the red devil on Monday.  We had to push it back because I got sick,  and now it looks like my last chemo treatment will be on Memorial Day.  Please pray that I can stay healthy so that I can stay on track!  Your prayers are truly sustaining me through this process, Friends!

Until next time...

Blessings!

Happy Monday, Friends!  Sorry I'm getting this post published late, but it has been a busy morning around Chez Treleaven!

I hope Jesus will say the words from Matthew to me one day.  We shall ponder what we'd like to hear from Jesus when he welcomes us into God's kingdom this week.

I hope y'all have a wonderful week!  Prayer requests?

Until next time...

Blessings!

Happy Friday, Friends!  I hope you've had a blessed week, and I hope your weekend is one filled with peace and relaxation.

This week's challenge:  Similar to what Paul did in Romans 16:3-16, make a point to greet two or three people today whom you would normally not notice.  Record how each person reacted and how this affected your happiness.

I'll defer to y'all because I can't be around others presently!

Prayer requests?  We're having tornadoes in our state as I'm typing this (Thursday afternoon).  There are already reports of property damage and injuries.  Please pray for my fellow Alabamians!

Until next time...

Blessings!
Ricki Jill
