Happy Monday, Friends!  How are you feeling on this lovely Monday morning?  It's so early and quiet: This is my favorite time of day (usually).

This week's devotion is entitled "numbered grace," and I will read it as soon as I log-off my desktop.

Here is this week's scripture:

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for Kitty's son Mike to get a job. AI has taken away many jobs in his industry.
  • Pray for Kitty's SIL Eric's continued recovery from surgery.  Also pray for her daughter as her responsibilities have increased while Eric recovers.
  • Please continue to pray for our military and military families.
  • Continue to pray for Carla's son Sam and the 157th!
  • Pray for leadership in our country, leaders who will care about America and Americans above global interests.

Now go make yourself some coffee, sit in the sun, read your devotion and pray!
*giggles*

Until next time...

Blessings!

Happy Friday, Prayer Warriors!  How was your week?  I feel like I'm finally catching up with things since we've been on three big trips and a couple of little ones so far this year.  I deep cleaned our kitchen on Wednesday, and it felt so good!

This week's devotion is entitled "one-hundred-times-a-day grace."  This one was definitely a stream of consciousness writing, but my big take away is how devout Jews make a point to thank God at least one hundred times a day.  What a lovely tradition; that's one I want to try and have the discipline and inclination to do!

Here is this week's scripture:

I also wanted to share with you the Rembrandt print Ann mentioned that she has hanging in her kitchen:

Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn
Supper at Emmaus or The Pilgrims at Emmaus
oil on mahogany panel
1648
The Louvre

The subject of this painting is Rembrandt's depiction of Christ revealing himself to the pilgrims during the supper at Emmaus.  It's a scene from the New Testament's Gospel of Luke, which tells the story of Christ's intimate repast with two of his disciples, Luke and Cleopas, who have failed to recognize him after his resurrection from the dead (Luke 24:13-35).

I'm taking my coffee to go this morning.
We're headed to the lake!

Until next time...

Blessings!

Happy Monday, Sweet Friends!  What did you do this weekend?  Did you get outside and enjoy some beautiful spring weather?

This week's devotion is entitled "one-hundred-times-a-day grace," and I hope it is half as good as last week's, which I loved!

Here is this week's scripture:

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray for Kitty's son Mike to get a job. AI has taken away many jobs in his industry.
  • Pray for Kitty's SIL Eric's continued recovery from surgery.  Also pray for her daughter as her responsibilities have increased while Eric recovers.
  • Please continue to pray for our military and military families.
  • Continue to pray for Carla's son Sam and the 157th!
  • Pray for leadership in our country, leaders who will care about America and Americans above global interests.
  • Today is our son-in-law Christopher's birthday.  Please pray special birthday blessings for him!

Have a beautiful week!

Until next time...

Blessings!

Happy Friday, Friends!

Have you had a good week?  Mine has been busy with events including a party.  I was also able to spend quite a bit of time with Shelley this week, too, so it's been a very good week!

This week's devotion is entitled "love song grace."  It is my very favorite of all the lessons so far because of its "rightness" in how to think.  My grandmother always taught me that it isn't any of my business what other people think about me.  However, this is the only and the very best exception, isn't it!

What are your thoughts?

Here are this week's scriptures:

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for Kitty's son Mike to get a job. AI has taken away many jobs in his industry.
  • Continue to pray for Kitty's SIL Eric as he recovers from surgery.  Pray that he won't get any infections.  Also pray for her daughter as her responsibilities have increased while Eric recovers.
  • URGENT:  Eric's surgery is today where they do an implant in his chest that will coordinate with the brain implant. All this will need programming and may take awhile to tweak everything.  Pray for his continued recovery.
  • Please continue to pray for our military and military families.
  • Please pray for my friend Charlotte's son Connor.  He is struggling with mental illness.
  • Please pray for my friend Dawn who is fighting leukemia.
  • Sam has another extended Drill Date this month. He cannot tell us much... just that several teams will be deployed.  Pray for the 157th!
  • Pray that war won't be escalated in the Middle East and elsewhere, and that God's will be done!

Have a lovely weekend, Sweet Prayer Warrior Friends!

Until next time...

Blessings!

Happy Monday, Friends!  How was your weekend?  We went to the lake to get our cabin ready for the summer season.  We haven't been down there in a long time.  Although we mostly worked, it was nice to go!

This week's lesson is entitled "love song grace."  I'm intrigued by the title, aren't you?

This week's scripture is one of my very favorite Bible verses:

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for Kitty's son Mike to get a job. AI has taken away many jobs in his industry.
  • Continue to pray for Kitty's SIL Eric as he recovers from surgery.  Pray that he won't get any infections.  Also pray for her daughter as her responsibilities have increased while Eric recovers.

Now go have some coffee, read your Bible, pray, and let your little light shine this week!
I love you all!

Until next time...

Blessings!

Happy Friday, Friends!  I hope you've had a wonderful week.  The world has completely greened-up here in Central Alabama because we've had a lot of rain.  The woods and gardens near our home are stunning!

This week's lesson is entitled "wedded grace."  Kitty enjoyed it, and said it was one of her favorite lessons so far.  I agree...I found my face hurting from my big grin when I finished reading it!  Weddings are indeed a sacrament even though many in today's world do not view it as such.  In that context, isn't the wedding metaphor for how Christ and the church are one both exciting and comforting?

Below is this week's featured scripture.

There is also at least four other verses mentioned in this week's lesson.  I won't post all of them, but I will leave you with this one:

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband...And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
~Revelation 21:2,4 (KJV)

If these verses don't make us smile until our faces hurt, then I don't think anything can!

  • Please continue to pray for our military and military families.
  • Rita's daughters have competed their studies for the semester, and both did well.  Praise God!

I'm hoping to do a little container gardening both indoors and out this weekend.
What are your plans?

Until next time...

Blessings!

Happy Monday, Friends!  We're back from our trip, and I am so very thankful for your prayers.  My stamina held-up so well: Everyone was amazed!  God is so good to answer our prayers.  We had a wonderful trip, and I'm happy to be home, too.

This week's devotion is entitled "wedded grace," and I have not read it yet.  I am planning on reading it later this morning.  It took us 24 hours to get home on Saturday, but we got home when it was bedtime, so the jet lag hasn't been bad.  I will probably be doing laundry all day today (like yesterday).

Here is this week's scripture:

Prayer Requests

Before I get to the requests, I want to thank y'all for keeping us posted via email while we were on vacation.  Please let me know if I've left off any requests today and I will update our list ASAP.

  • Please pray that we [all] can overcome seasonal allergy issues.  Especially lift up Rita as she's had respiratory infections, and allergies and asthma can worsen them.
  • Pray for Kitty's son Mike to get a job. AI has taken away many jobs in his industry.
  • Continue to pray for Kitty's SIL Eric as he recovers from surgery.  Pray that he won't get any infections.
  • Please continue to pray for our military and military families.
  • Remember Rita's daughters in your prayers as they are in their spring semester of graduate studies while working full-time.  She is particularly concerned about their levels of stress.
  • Pray that there won't be too much crazy associated with the eclipse.  Several school districts have canceled school, and many local/state governments have issued states of emergency.  I don't understand why.  (I can remember in school making the shoebox projectors with the pin holes to watch eclipses.  The school thing sounds crazy to me.  All of it does, actually.)

Now I'm off to hit the coffee, read scripture and our lesson, and tackle all the laundry!

Have a great week, Friends!

Until next time...

Blessings!
