Just a reminder, especially with the 20th Anniversary of 9/11 tomorrow.

Happy Friday, Friends.  Here's a look at this week's prompt:

In what ways could you brighten your corner of the world this week?  List three things you can do now.

1.   Smile more as I remind myself that God wins.  Always.

2.   Ask people how they are doing, and reminding them that God is good!  Always.

3.   Pray for everyone within my circle because God listens to and answers prayer.  Always.

Until next time...

Blessings!

Do you have any plans today, Friends?  I hope you have a wonderful day with those you love.

This week we've been presented with a challenge, and the writing prompt is meant for the beginning of the week, so "heads-up!"  LOL

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
Matthew 5:14

Have a wonderful week!

Until next time...

Happy Friday, Friends!  It's been a difficult week, hasn't it, with Hurricane Ida and the debacle and tragedy of Afghanistan.  It's hard to even think of happiness as our nation grieves.

Here is this week's prompt:

What areas of your life feel like they're out of your control?  Do you believe you're able to affect your own happiness as well as the happiness of those around you?

I know that most areas of my life are in God's control, but he does give us free will in how we respond to our circumstances.  (I'm happy that God is in control, and I often need to remind myself that He is.)  I can choose to be happy, or to at least try.  I can choose to have a good attitude, and in everything give thanks.  I know that I can affect my happiness as well as the happiness of those around me, definitely.  Smiles and attitudes are contagious, and I want to be like my favorite uncle,  one of my favorite people I've ever known:  I want to be an encourager, not a discourager.

What about you?  I look forward to reading your responses.

My prayer request is to still pray for our Gold Star Families.

Please share your prayer requests in comments, too.

Until next time...

Blessings!

Hello, Friends!  It's September, and I'm looking forward to autumn this year.  Are you?

I wanted to pop in and say thanks to all of you who've asked about my sister-in-law and her family.  They are blessed that their beach house in Mississippi had no damage, and they have power, so they will live there until it's safe to return to New Orleans.

Authorities are saying that it could take three to four weeks to restore power in Southern Louisiana, and no one in New Orleans has power (unless they have a generator).  Please continue to pray for the people down there who are struggling, who have nowhere else to go.  Also pray for those still in the path of Ida.

This scripture is from a recent devo:

Stay calm; there is no need to be afraid of a sudden disaster
or to worry when calamity strikes the wicked,
For the Eternal is always there to protect you.
He will safeguard your each and every step.
Proverbs 3:25-26

Proverbs is the book of wisdom, and the easiest Bible study on the planet is to read a chapter from the book of Proverbs everyday.  There are 31 chapters in the book, one for every single day of the month!

Have a great day!

Until next time...

Blessings!
