Happy Friday, My Lovelies! Are you traveling for the long holiday weekend? I hope you have a few fun outdoor activities, and that the weather cooperates for you.
This week's lesson truly hit home. I was reading a post on a social media platform about a man who posted this on Facebook:
Jesus died so you could live.
Facebook notified the poster that: "No one else can see your post. Your speech goes against our Community Standards on hate speech."
Do you think that this would've happened had it been representative of another religion?
If you haven't read the lifeline for this week's reflection, I encourage you to do so and take some time to think about it.
Prayer Requests:
- Continue to pray for our military that are helping with the situation in Sudan and Africa. Also, pray for Sam and the 157th.
- Let's continue to pray for Kitty's son Mike to find a job, and for God to turn her daughter in law's heart to want to spend time with the family.
- We are being invaded from the south, and we no longer have national sovereignty. Please pray for God's intervention. Pray for our republic before it's lost forever.
- Pray for travel mercies for my sister-in-law and niece. They're driving up on Friday. Also, please pray for my eldest daughter. Her work environment is so toxic I don't know how she stands it.
- Please pray for Rita's brother-in-law who will have a colonospcopy this week to determine surgical plan for colostomy reversal.

Happy Monday Morning, Friends! In one week, it will be Memorial Day. Do you have any plans? My sister-in-law and niece will be visiting us at Lake Martin. I'm looking forward to spending some time with them!

Happy Friday, My Lovelies! I hope y'all have had a good week. Mine has been pretty good, and very productive!
Although I was very productive, I made little time to find "sanctuary" or alone time with God. This week's reflection was very convicting, and I wish I'd read it earlier in the week rather than later.
Where do you find sanctuary? I find it in my at home art studio; it's where I study my Bible and pray.
There's a reason why the place for worship in a church is called a sanctuary. Throughout history fugitives could "claim sanctuary" by retreating to the church's alter, touch it, and claim sanctuary, or protection, from the church. The church supported them hoping that they would either convert, or if a Christian, get right with God before facing authorities.
Here are a few verses illustrating Jesus's need for sanctuary during his three-year ministry:
After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone.~Matthew 14:23Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.~Mark 1:35They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.”~Mark 14:32One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles.~Luke 6:12-13However, after his brothers had left for the festival, he went also, not publicly, but in secret.~John 7:10

- Carla's son Atticus graduated yesterday from Chippewa Valley Technical College. He has done so well and is graduating with honors. What a praise!
