Happy Flag Day, Friends!
Happy Friday, Friends! Have you had a nice week?
I have mixed emotions about this week's devotion. I disagree that you must first focus on losing someone before you can fully love them. I tend to not think about losses before having to face them. To me that's borrowing trouble, as my grandmother used to say. Just my opinion. What are your thoughts about the lesson?
Here is this week's scripture:
Prayer Requests
- Rita asks for us to pray for her younger daughter's relationship struggles, and that she will listen to God's spirit within to make the right decisions.
- Pray for Kitty's son Mike to get a job. AI has taken away many jobs in his industry. Mike might have the opportunity to redo a game with a friends. Let's pray that this works out for him, and it will lead to more opportunities.
- Please continue to pray for our military and military families.
- Continue to pray for Carla's son Sam and the 157th! Sam is in Louisiana training. It's hot there, y'all! Pray that he will stay hydrated.
- Praise to God for allowing us to live during this time in the greatest Republic the world has ever known.
- It looks like John has been accepted as a patient at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. It could be up to 12 weeks before he is admitted. He has seen several specialists in the last 3 or 4 years. Diana says if they don't get any answers there, they are pretty much out of options as far as improvement in his quality of life. Let's pray for a speedy admittance and answers!
Have a great weekend, everyone!
Until next time...
Blessings!

I kind of liked this week's devotion, giving food for thought. But I can certainly see your grandmother's point, borrowing trouble (I like that!).
ReplyDeleteVery happy to read John's been accepted into Mayo, prayers for a quicker admission. Hoping all your family's testing has good results.
Have a good weekend all.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI will be praying for all the requests.
Thank you for all the prayers for Sam and team. They have 4 more days in "THE BOX".... simulated war with live ammo... talked to Sam briefly, they are doing a lot of night movements and very little sleep.
Thank you for prayers that they can finish strong these last 4 days.
Carla
I am with you on your thoughts as to this week’s chapter. I did love picturing Ann and her mom, but I don’t think you have to picture losing someone to fully love them. Sometimes I think Ann is too deep for me or maybe I feel it’s her own personal diary?
ReplyDeleteThank you for prayers for our travels and vacation. We had the best time ever.
Prayers will be lifted for all. Happy weekend!
