Happy Friday and last day of March, Friends. Is March going out like a lamb or a lion in your world?
What did you think about this week's reflection? Did you like Maggie's story about the mouse? It freaked me the freak out. LOL. If you haven't read it yet, it's terrifyingly funny!
Any thoughts?
Scripture from the lesson:
God is educating you; that’s why you must never drop out. He’s treating you as dear children. This trouble you’re in isn’t punishment; it’s training, the normal experience of children. Only irresponsible parents leave children to fend for themselves. Would you prefer an irresponsible God? We respect our own parents for training and not spoiling us, so why not embrace God’s training so we can truly live?~Hebrews 12:7-9 (The Message)
Prayer Requests
- From Rita: I must continue to ask prayer for various family members - the aged with chronic health issues, members with short-term health needs for healing, and for the grandbaby, whose necessary daycare is literally a petri dish for ongoing viruses. Lord, with your help I pray each one of my loved ones - and their caretakers - can cope and conquer these matters and enjoy a healthy, new season.
- From Kitty: We will be traveling to Houston next Wednesday for Kristen’s mom’s memorial service and please pray for safe travels and that all goes well. Thank you! Love and blessings to all. (Also continue to pray for family unity and her son's job search.)
- From Carla: Pray for Sam and the 157th. Pray for all our military families.
- From Rita: Please pray for the Nashville Christian school, where 3 children and 2 teachers were shot and killed this week - dear God, please comfort that community and protect them from evil. Please help us all realize how much we need You in our lives.
- Carla asks for continued prayer for our military all around the world. For our leaders to make wise decisions and to not use our military for a 'war game'. Also, pray for the power of TRUTH to reach the hearts of those hurting, lost, and confused.
- Please pray for travel mercies for Trip and me.
Blessings!

Happy Monday, Friends! How was your weekend? I hope you found some peace and joy.
This week's lesson is about kids getting caught. It's far better that they get caught by parents and are punished rather than by the police! I love her anecdote in this one, by the way.
I used to remind our children that I often prayed that sin would find no place to hide in our home and family. That prayer works, y'all....of course I was probably busted by God more than anyone else ;P

Happy Friday, Friends! How have your first days of spring been so far? We've had the most beautiful blue sky here in Central Alabama!
This week's reflection is about caregiving, especially taking care of little ones. I would love the opportunity to take care of a few little ones! Sometimes it's hard to find devo time when we're taking care of others, but it's important to make the time for our spiritual growth.
Here's some selected scripture from the lesson:
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’~Matthew 25:40-45
I love this section of the Bible. Jesus is cooking for the disciples on a beach, and he asks Peter three times if Peter loves him. Jesus did this because Peter denied Jesus three times, and he wanted to restore Peter. I think it's so sweet! I know that isn't why Maggie chose this verse for the reflection, but I just wanted to share why I like it.
Until next time...
Blessings!

Hello, Friends! I hope you had a blessed weekend.
This week's reflection is about caregiving and how difficult it can be to have quiet time. I enjoyed reading it quite a bit, and it has made me grateful for the help and care my husband and daughter has given me the past year or so.
The tulips are at their peak right now in our neighborhood.
They are beautiful in shades of pale and bright pink and deep purple.
Prayer Requests
- Please pray for the people suffering in East Palestine, Ohio. God, please let there be justice for them.
- Please pray for Kitty's son that he gets a job and for her family that they can be united.
- Pray for Sam and the 157th, our active duty military, and our veterans.
- Our country needs godly leaders. Let's pray that God will send us leaders who fear Him.
- Please join me in praying 2 Chronicles 7:14 for our country at 7:14 AM and PM when you can. Pray that there will be justice for all.
- Rita has a prayer request for various health concerns within her family that are currently in crisis management to resolve. Also pray for Baby J's continued recovery.
- One of Carla's dear friends has a family friend who is being deployed to Poland/Romania. Praying that the preparations for his deployment go well as he prepares to leave his young family to honor this deployment.
- Please add Kitty's DIL, Kristen’s family, and the repose of her beloved mom’s soul who passed two weekends ago. Kitty expressed that she was such a lovely woman!
- Please pray for my oldest daughter Shanley Belle (toxic work environment).
- We have a praise: Several of Carla's neighbors have lost sheds and barns due to snow and ice (collapsed roofs). Carla's property has been spared, and she's so thankful.
Happy St. Patrick's Day, Friends! Are you celebrating today? At the very least you should wear green so you don't get pinched. ;P
Today's lesson is about our single friends, and how we should accommodate them in our churches, ministries, and lives. Here is the scripture from this week's reflection:
Our church doesn't have anything that's strictly for married couples. I know that some churches do, but I'm unaware of it at ours. I have seen a few ladies in my life mistreat and exclude single women, but most don't. There were several practical examples of inclusion in the lesson, and I think we need to try to do things in person when we can.
Thoughts?
Below are today's prayer requests. If you have new ones, or if I forgot one, please include it in comments.

Happy Friday, Friends! I decided to stay on track with our devo, and if y'all didn't read last week's (or this week's) reflection, you can still get caught-up.
One thing that I took away from this week's lesson is this: Because God created marriage, he has a vested interest in their success.
Scripture from the lesson:
She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.~Proverbs 31:12Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.~1 Corinthians 13:4-5
How do you "add a little salsa" to your marriage? Care to share? Mr. Devo and I like to plan luncheon dates almost weekly.
