TLWS: Friday, Week Thirty-Two

Happy Friday, Friends!  I decided to stay on track with our devo, and if y'all didn't read last week's (or this week's) reflection, you can still get caught-up.

One thing that I took away from this week's lesson is this:  Because God created marriage, he has a vested interest in their success.

Scripture from the lesson:

She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.
~Proverbs 31:12

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
~1 Corinthians 13:4-5

How do you "add a little salsa" to your marriage?  Care to share?  Mr. Devo and I like to plan luncheon dates almost weekly.

Prayer Requests

  • Please pray for the people suffering in East Palestine, Ohio.  God, please let there be justice for them.
  • Please pray for Kitty's son that he gets a job and for her family that they can be united.
  • Pray for Sam and the 157th, our active duty military, and our veterans.
  • Our country needs godly leaders.  Let's pray that God will send us leaders who fear Him.
  • Please join me in praying 2 Chronicles 7:14 for our country at 7:14 AM and PM when you can.
  • Rita has a prayer request for various health concerns within her family that are currently in crisis management to resolve.  Also pray for Baby J's continued recovery.
  • Pray travel mercies for Kris and Terry.
  • Please pray for my health.  I've missed out on two trips, and I am trying not to get discouraged.

If there are any other requests, please let us know!  Thank-you for being prayer warriors!!!

Until next time...

Blessings!
Ricki Jill

  1. Hello Friend,
Praying for all of the requests. I do hope you are feeling better.

One of my dear friends has a family friend who is being deployed to Poland/Romania. Praying that the preparations for his deployment go well as he prepares to leave his young family to honor this deployment.

    Thank you, Carla

  2. P.S.
Jeremy and I celebrated 25 years of marriage last year. We are on to 26 years in May. We take time to plan our week together, we have been doing this for many years now. Just to review the weekly calendar together, knowing what is going on helps with communication. I am a big believer in communication in all relationships, but for marriage, keeping it real and having communication I find is so important, not always easy, but so important.

  4. So happy to have you back, Ricki Jill! I pray you'll continue to get stronger and can make those trips! Mr P and I, while we used to be more physical, still enjoy walking, bike riding and hiking. For our anniversary we went for a day trip to the New River Gorge Natl Park and hiked and had lunch in the little town adjacent.

Keeping all intentions close to my heart.
