Happy Monday, Friends! Can you believe that it's the last Monday in March?
We're starting a new unit in our guided journaling this week, and I'm looking forward to the next six weeks because the focus is on serving others. I know that serving others leads to happiness, and I look forward to finding new and different ways to serve in the near future.
I hope you are blessed by serving others this week. One way we can serve our little community here in the blog is to pray for each other. Do y'all have any prayer requests?
Until next time...
Blessings!

Happy Friday, Friends! I hope you've had a lovely week so far.
Let's take a look at this week's writing prompt involving intercessory ministry:
Next time you are in a crowded place, begin praying for those around you, whether you know them or not. Record how this affected your mood.
I'm still not going out in public much, but that will change in a couple of weeks (but it will be restricted to small groups of people). I actually started praying for the people around me in the chemo room on Monday because I knew that it would be the only time I would be around people, and I thought that they could certainly use intercessory prayer. I was humbled when a lady getting an infusion (but not a cancer patient) walked over and wanted to pray over my chemo because she noticed the chemo nurses monitoring me intently because it was my first time taking the Taxol. People are often allergic to it, and I had to get a Benadryl infusion first. I had absolutely no problems with it, which means I probably won't for the rest of the time. However, there is a concern for neuropathy, so please pray that I don't have that with this therapy.
How about you? Did you try this at some point this week? Do you have any prayer requests?
Until next time...
Blessings!

Happy Monday and Happy Spring, Friends! I'm so happy that spring is here, and I can't wait to start planting our containers and perhaps adding a few roses to the garden.
This week's focus in our Happy Today guided journaling book is intercessory prayer/ministry and how it leads to happiness. I do love this week's challenge, and I'm going to try it today!
Have a great week, friends!
Prayer requests?
Until next time...

Happy Friday, Friends! I hope y'all have had a nice week so far. I've had a week of testing, and my final test (ultrasound) is this morning. Severe weather is expected here today, and Birmingham suffered terrible flooding earlier this week.
Here is today's writing prompt:
How does it make you feel that Jesus prays for you?
It makes me feel loved, and yet it also humbles me, too. I hope he's praying for me today!
What about you? Do you have any specific prayer requests?
Until next time...
Blessings!

I wanted to share a few of our pansies because they have done nicely this winter. They actually enjoyed being covered in snow Saturday morning.
Happy Monday, Friends! How are y'all? I hope you've been enjoying pretty late winter weather. We were in the high seventies on Friday, then it iced over Friday night and started sleeting and then snowing. We woke up to about an inch of snow Saturday morning! Yesterday there wasn't a cloud in the sky, but it was a little cool. We took the Westies to the park and no one was there!
This week in our guided journaling we continue to explore the importance of finding happiness in prayer. There are several bible verses discussed this week, too, and they are very encouraging as Jesus intercedes for us.
Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. ~Hebrews 7:25
Prayer requests? I want to thank y'all for your continued prayers. This week I have an appointment with my oncology cardiologist (on Tuesday), and imaging is on Friday.
Have a blessed week!
Until next time...
Blessings!

Tulip magnolias are booming all over our neighborhood. They are so pretty!
Happy Friday, Friends! We've been enjoying beautiful sunny, seventy-degrees weather, but we're expecting snow here tonight in Central Alabama! I feel badly for our Westies because they went to the groomer yesterday and have their new summer 'dos. So this morning I'm washing their little sweaters just in case they need them tomorrow.
Here is this week's writing prompt:
What are you worried about today? Lift that concern up to God by writing it down in prayer. Read the prayer aloud when you are finished. Return to this prayer anytime you start to worry about this circumstance.
Unfortunately I think that we are being bombarded at this time with worries both in our own homes and communities as well as across the world. What are your specific worries todays, and do you have any other prayer requests?
This week I've been praying for truth and discernment. I'm still praying for travel mercies for Molly because she has at least three more weeks in France; also please pray for our oldest Shanley Belle as her work is transitioning. Thank-you!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Until next time...
Blessings!

Happy Monday, Friends! This week's guided journaling focus is on worrying... something we're all guilty of!
Certainly there are lots of things going on in the world that are worrisome, aren't there. Here in the Unites States and in Eastern Europe borders aren't honored and bad actors continue to behave badly.
I truly believe in the power of praying scripture, so please remember to pray 2 Chronicles 7:14 daily for our country.
Do y'all have any specific prayer requests? I want to thank y'all for praying for me. My medical team cannot believe how well I'm doing, and I know it's because of prayer and God's grace. Also, please remember to pray for our niece Molly as she traveled to Paris this weekend, and she will be there for one month.
Until next time...
Blessings!

Happy Friday, Friends! I'm so sorry I'm posting so late this morning, but I have been enjoying the beautiful weather and sunshine!
Today's prompt asks for us to write a prayer for someone else and think about how it made us feel. I wrote my prayer for a friend who suffered a recent loss. I hope the Holy Spirit comforts her today.
How about you? Is there someone you'd like for us to pray for today? Please pray travel mercies for our niece Molly: She's traveling to Paris tomorrow.
Until next time...
Blessings!

Good morning, friends! Today is Ash Wednesday, and I pray that we'll have a blessed lenten season as we reflect on Christ and his sacrifice for us.
Yesterday I saw this wonderful 40 Days of Lent Devotional. It's free, so I wanted to share this LINK with you so you can download it if you'd like.
Until next time...
Blessings!
