I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving,
And will call upon the name of the Lord.
Psalm 116:17

The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,  but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”

“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.  “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

Genesis 3:2-6

"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin."
1 John 1:7

Friends, I posted the graphic (above) to encourage Shelley.  Please continue to pray for her as she has another math test today.

Today's devo really hit home: "When you focus on what you don't have or situations that displease you, your mind also becomes darkened."  I want to "walk in the light" by "offering the sacrifice of thanksgiving," especially given our current circumstances.

Do y'all have any prayer requests? Please share them in the comments section below or email me.

Until next time...

Blessings!

  1. Hello my Friend,
How are you doing? How is your family and community?
We are praying each day for your family and your community.

I appreciated the following scripture today...

"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin."
    1 John 1:7
