September 25, 2020

"Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me."
Psalm 23:4

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
Matthew 7:1-2

"Fear of man will prove to be a snare,
    but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe."
Proverbs 29:25

Wow, today's devo is very involved.  Lots of juicy nuggets, and it is definitely one I need to read multiple times during the day today.  One thing I took away from it is that we aren't to judge others' struggles.

I have an urgent prayer request:  Our sweet little neighbor Braxton (6 years old) has just been diagnosed with a very aggressive brain cancer.  Please pray for him!  His parents are devastated and frightened.

Until next time...

Blessings!
Ricki Jill

  1. Your prayer request is heartbreaking news! I will pray for him and his family. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness, per a friend of mine who is a staunch advocate currently raising money to conquer childhood cancer.

  2. Oh no about your sweet little neighbor. Prayers for him and his parents. Oh this is the worse nightmare a parent could have. Ricki what is happening so much sadness. I have to go back and read the proverb for today and reflect that God is with this family. So scary and sad. xoxo
