I absolutely love today's devo and verses.  The 1 Thessalonians verse is a favorite of mine...I quoted it a lot to the girls while they were growing-up.  I prefer the KJV of this verse:

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

~1 Thessalonians 5:18

Our oldest daughter Shanley is defending her dissertation today.  She has worked her whole life for this moment, and I would appreciate prayers for her.  She presents at noon CDT.  Thanks in advance!
