August 8, 2020

The waterfalls featured above do not have a deep noise, rather they are peaceful.
These photos were taken at Jim Scott's gardens, Lake Martin, Alabama.

"Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls;
All Your waves and billows have gone over me."
Psalm 42:7 (NKJV)

"Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord;
    let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before him with thanksgiving
    and extol him with music and song."
Psalm 95: 1-2

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.  The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock."
Matthew 7: 24-25

When the storms come, and they will, a firm foundation in Christ allows us to weather the storm with thanksgiving and praise.

Until next time...

Blessings!

  1. I am walking closer with God and He some times carries me through the flooding water but I know I am safe in His arms. The Lord has a purpose and we may not be able to see or know that purpose during the storms but He sends reminders with beautiful 🌈 that He will not forsake us. I hope you have a wonderful weekend Ricki Jill.

  2. Thank you Ricki,
    I am praying for our nation and the foundation that she was built on. May our leaders hear God speak to them. I will hold true to my foundation in HIM.

    1. Yes, that is a very good point. Our country as founded, one nation under God. Franklin Graham posted on Twitter today a call for Americans to wake up! We need to lift up our leaders in prayer and pray that they will have discernment during this trying times.

      Thanks for your comment!
