The artist who made this cross uses architectural salvage in her work.

"I delight greatly in the Lord;
    my soul rejoices in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation
    and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness,
as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,
    and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels."
Isaiah 61:10

"God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21

"You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness."
Ephesians 4:22-24

We truly are new creations in Christ Jesus.  As the ancient Israelites rejoiced over the coming Messiah (Isaiah 61:10), we as Christians can rejoice in his second coming as we wear the garment of his salvation, the clean robe paid for by his righteous blood.

Until next time...

Blessings!

  1. I am so humbled that He loved us so much he was willing to pay for our sins on the cross. He endured so much pain for us to have everlasting life and sit at His table. We as Christians should rejoice at his second coming.

  2. We are blessed that God gave us his only son to save us from ourselves and sin. No gift ever will surpass the gift God gave with his son. As parents we cannot even imagine having to sacrifice one of our Children to save so many from sin. We are truly blessed to believe in him. Happy Monday. xoxo Kris
