Limelights at sunset

"For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Isaiah 9:6

"Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your King is coming to you;
He is just and having salvation,
Lowly and riding on a donkey,
A colt, the foal of a donkey."
Zechariah 9:9 (NKJV)

"The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”  The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children."
Romans 8:15-16

“Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”
Exodus 3:5

There are many biblical truths packed into today's devo.  Perhaps the one that is resonating with me the most is the passage from Romans.  We were never created with a spirit of fear!  Don't give anyone the authority over you to instill fear.

Let's not live in fear ever again, Friends.

Until next time...

Blessings!

  1. Please pray for my daughter who is near 31 weeks now. She is having some complications this morning that I pray will resolve. Please keep her husband in prayer also. He is going through a rough patch. Yesterday I read "energy flows where attention goes". I am trying to channel positive energy!

  2. I agree with you. We are all born pure of heart. No evil and no fear. Those are learned. So if we believe in God and that he is always with us we can lift fear and move forward. Great devo. Have a great rest of the week.
